(From Clark Funeral Home)Ines Herrera, age 92, passed away on October 16, 2023. Ines a devoted mother and homemaker, was born on October 13, 1931, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to her loving parents, Cayetano Ledezma and Cruz Ponce.
On September 20, 1953, she was united in marriage to Jose Herrera, and their union was filled with love and partnership until he passed away in 2009.
Ines dedicated her life to her family, embracing her role as a devoted mother and homemaker. She was not only known for her caring nature but also for her culinary talents as an excellent cook. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and delicious food that brought her family together. In her spare time, Ines found joy in crocheting and knitting. She used her skills to create clothing for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, leaving them with treasured pieces of her love. Her love for reading extended to her Bible, which she cherished and found solace in. Ines was a woman of faith and a devoted member of the Abundant Life Church (Hispanic) and later the Believers Faith Fellowship in Neosho, Missouri.
Ines leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She is survived by her six children: Armando Herrera Ledezma, Socorro Herrera Ledezma, Dora Isela Herrera Ledezma, Lorena Eastin and her husband, Jim, Joel Herrera Ledezma and his wife, Nelly, and Osvaldo Herrera Ledezma and his wife, Rosemari. Her family continued to grow with the presence of 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Ines was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Isaias Herrera Ledezma, her brothers, Cayetano Ledezma, Isaias Ledezma, and Cruz Ledezma, and her sister Antonia Ledezma.
Ines leaves behind a legacy of love and family. The family will receive friends on October 23, 2023, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho, Missouri. A funeral service to honor and celebrate Ines's life will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories.
Ines Herrera will be remembered for her unwavering love, her culinary talents, and her dedication to her faith and family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
