Rowan Fillpot

Rowan Tekiah Fillpot, beloved son of Scott “Scotty” Fillpot Jr. and Leana High.

He was born August 9th, 2023, and departed this world on October 12th, 2023. Rowan was a beautiful and perfect baby boy who filled his family with joy, purpose, and most of all love. 

Rowan enjoyed the color yellow, he had the biggest smile that lit up our world, and most assuredly he would have run before he could walk! He was loved beyond measure by his parents and all who knew him; Rowan will be eternally cherished and his memory kept safe in our hearts.






In addition to his parents Leana and Scotty, and those who knew him, Rowan will live on in the hearts of his grandparents Lindy Morgan, Fred High, Carrie Fillpot, Scott Fillpot Sr., great grandparents Deloris Morgan, Sherry and Doug Hillman, great aunts Hannah (Rick) Mitchell, Amanda (Jericho) Hillman, Lori Morgan, great uncle Nathan (Tammerlee) High. aunties and uncles Hayley Morgan-Venglass, Reece Morgan, Sarah High, Trevor Loman, Kaylee Fillpot, Brea Haslip, first cousins Lily and Mykah, as well as many great-great uncles, aunties, cousins and more cousins.

We take comfort in knowing that Rowan has been welcomed into Heaven by the loving arms of Jesus and his great grandparents Larry Morgan and John High, 2nd cousin Brantley Mitchell, great-great grandparents Maxine and Russell Morgan, John and Reatha Moser. Fred and Bessie High, Richard and Harriet Hite. Great-great-great grandparents Joseph and Lillie Morgan, Ralph and Maggie Fitzjohn, Herbert and Jewel Moser- Price, George and Fannie Howerton.








Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Parker Mortuary in Joplin. The family will hold Memorial Services on Thursday, October 26th at 4:30 PM at Christ's Community Church in Joplin. Rowan's final resting place will be held at a later date at Ozark Memorial Park in Joplin. 

 In lieu of flowers Leana and Scotty ask that donations be made in Rowan's honor to the Christmas Baskets fund at the Joplin Elk's Lodge #501 at 1802 W 26th Street, Joplin, Missouri 64804.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
