Richard Crowe

Richard Oren Crowe, age 66, of Lamar, Missouri passed away October 25, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, after battling cancer.

Richard "Papa" was born February 6, 1957 in Girard, Kansas to Donald Lee Crowe and Erma Joan (Mowery) Crowe. He had a strong faith in Jesus, and was an avid worker of many trades. He was loyal and dedicated to his family, and a friend to many. His life on this earth transcended into the lives of his children, grandchildren, and those who knew him best. His memory will forever be cherished.

Survivors include one son, Juston Crowe, Portland, Oregon; five daughters, Misty (Ian) Brooks of Willard, Ohio, Alicia "Ali" Carpenter of Seneca, Missouri, Amanda (Benjamin) Owens of Kingsland, Georgia, Krista (Martin) Sandoval of Nevada, Missouri and Chloe Crowe of Lamar, MO; 16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Crowe of Hutchison, Kansas; four sisters, Donita (Kenny) Burton of Columbus, Kansas, Leanna (Jimmy) Scott of Mulberry, Kansas, Peggy (Rodney) LaFont of Montgomery, Texas and Sherri (Tony) Valdez of Odessa, Texas.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow at Monmauth Cemetery in Crawford County, KS.

The family will receive friends starting at 10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the funeral home.
