Gary Anderson

Gary Lee Anderson, age 80, of Rogers died peacefully on October 26, 2023. He was born October 11, 1943, in Bigelow, MO to Harold and Ruth Anderson. He graduated from Craig HS, in Missouri in 1961.

In 1963 he married his high school sweetheart, the former E. Jane Drewes. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Business Administration in 1966. He was first employed by the Ralston Purina Co. as Assistant Personnel Mgr. in California MO and later was promoted to Asst. Plant Mgr. in Noel, MO. He went to work for Hudson Foods in 1972 and was soon promoted to Vice President and moved to Rogers in 1973 where he worked for 20 years, leaving to purchase Sibley Industries, a manufacturer of poultry heating and livestock handling equip. in Anderson, MO.








The family sold Sibley in 1998 to Chore-Time/Brock where he served as VP of Sales and retired in 2001. In January 2003, the Anderson family purchased Marks Company/Anderson Electric and Plumbing Supply headquartered in Springdale, Arkansas.

During his career, he served as: President of the National Broiler Council Processing Committee, Peace Lutheran Council President, a Board Member of Grand Savings Bank and Restoration Village Board Chair.

Gary’s passion was his ranch west of Seligman, MO which he started in 1978 with a few cows which has grown into a sizeable operation that raises turkeys, chickens, and cattle. Gary mostly enjoyed the beauty of the ranch including Big Sugar Creek and the many gatherings there of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Harold Anderson, and his brother Wayne. 

He is survived by his wife Jane of 60 years, his son Keven (Lisa), daughter Cynthia Beeman (Dan), grandchildren Chelsea (Brian Kennedy) and Josh (Victoria), and two great grandchildren Gabe and Mary. He was also very close to his ranch manager Lindell Mitchell (Shelly) and his children Ryan and Brittany whom he considered his ranch family.
