(From Clark Funeral Home)Meta Marie Greenfeather, known by those close to her as "Mitzie," aged 69, peacefully passed away on October 23, 2023. She was born on May 18, 1954, in Miami, OK, to her parents, Tom Dixon Frost and Opal Watts Frost.
Mitzie lived a life marked by dedication, love, and a passion for family. On July 30, 1971, she was united in marriage with Wayne Greenfeather in Afton, Oklahoma.
Mitzie devoted her skills and effort to various employers, including Honeybear, Tyson, and she ultimately retired from Sunbeam in Neosho, Missouri. Her work ethic and commitment were evident throughout her career.
Mitzie is survived by her beloved husband, Wayne Greenfeather, and two daughters: Crystal Greenfeather of Granby, Missouri, and Amanda, and husband John Mark Johnson of Stark City, Missouri. Her legacy extends to her cherished grandchildren: Nikki Orman and her husband Shawn, Daniel Arwood, Mahaila Watkins and husband Dalton, Kelsi Johnson, Brandon Lloyd, Emily Johnson, Tyler Lloyd, and Dindi Reed. Her great-grandchildren include Jackson, Myles, Theodore, Cooper, and Lincoln. In the company of her siblings, Jimmie Frost, Freida George, and Roy Frost, Mitzie shared a close bond and lifelong connections.
She was also preceded in death by some of her siblings: Jack, Lena, Brenda, Frankie, and Freddie.
A viewing to pay respects is scheduled for Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home in Granby, Missouri. The funeral service to celebrate Mitzie's life will take place on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Clark Funeral Home Granby Chapel, followed by a graveside service at Macedonia Cemetery in Stella, Missouri. Mitzie Marie Greenfeather's memory will endure in the hearts of her family, who will forever cherish her unwavering faith and her boundless love for them and the animals she adored.
