Alfred Dean Maute, Jr. of Fairland, OK passed from this life Wednesday, October 18, 2023 in Grove, OK. He was 81.

Alfred was born December 11, 1941 in Zincville, OK to Alfred and Ruby (Carr) Maute. He had lived in Fairland for the past 13 years moving from Picher, OK. Alfred served in the U.S. Army and retired from B.F. Goodrich in 1986 and was a pipe fitter and electrician.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carol Ann Maute in 2017, 1 daughter, Karen Michelle Maute, 1 grandson, Cody McDaniel and 2 sisters, Thelma Maute and Opal Charlene Mooney.

Alfred is survived by 1 son, Thomas Maute and fiancé’ Jodi Harvey of Grove, OK, 4 daughters, Linda Rogers and husband Buck of Quapaw, OK, Debrah O’Neal of Miami, OK, Lisa McDaniel of Fairland, OK, Pamela Blalock of Fairland, OK, 2 brothers, Truman Maute of Rogers, AR and Ray Maute of Carthage, MO, 4 sisters, Pauline North of Skiatook, OK, Gloria Maute of North Miami, OK, Beverly Stepp of North Miami, OK and Opal Barr of Miami, OK, 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 23, 2023 at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. Rev. Ray Clonts will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 147 Funeral Detail of Miami, OK.
