David Goucher

David Michael Goucher, age 54, of Joplin, passed away on October 6, 2023, in Carl Junction, MO. Born on June 11, 1969, in Albuquerque, NM, to Martha (Morgan) Goucher and the late David R. Goucher.

David spent his early years in Albuquerque and later moved to Webb City, where he completed his high school education. In 2016, David joined the Leggett & Platt team where he was currently employed. In 2011 he met Kelly Gilstrap and together they were united in marriage on April 24, 2021 in Carthage.

David was a family man through and through. He was known as an exceptional provider, a good dad, a loving grandpa and a selfless man who never failed to bring joy to those around him with his sense of humor. Fishing and hunting were among David's favorite pastimes. He found solace in the serenity of nature and the thrill of the hunt. 

His love for the outdoors was infectious, and he passed this passion onto his children and grandchildren. David's fishing stories and hunting tales will live on in the hearts of those he left behind.

Survivors include his wife, Kelly Goucher, of Joplin; his children, Alysha Olson, of Joplin, and Logan Goucher, of the home; grandchildren, Kayiden Olson, and Jaxxen Olson, both of Joplin; his mother, Martha Goucher, of Joplin; a stepdaughter, Iris Gilstrap, of Joplin; and several extended family members.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
