Austin Gardner

Austin Allen Gardner, 34, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, sadly left us on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 10:53 p.m. at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

Austin was born on July 7, 1989, in Wichita, Kansas. He had been previously employed by Schreiber Foods as a general laborer. He was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School, and was involved in every sport, also as a coach and lifeguard.

Austin is survived by his mother, Helen Mary Gardner; aunts, Irene Wiggins (Dave), Teresa Jones (Ray); uncle, Robin Shelby (Crystal); cousins, Ashley and Guy Robertson, Carl and Jerum Jones, and Jeff Bordeaux.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Earl Gardner, grandparents, Kenneth and Lilian Gardner and Richard and Helen Bordeaux.

Memorial Dinner will be from 2-6:00 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2023, at Rafter J Event Center in Sarcoxie. Celebration of Life will follow at Lonnie’s Tavern also in Sarcoxie.
