(From Parker Mortuary) Owen Gene Reynolds, age 52 of Joplin, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Mercy of Joplin.
Owen was born June 16, 1971 in Joplin to the late Larry E. Reynolds and Sandra R. (Owen) Reynolds. He was a wonderful husband and father that would do anything for his family. He had a great sense of humor, and could make anyone laugh. He would give his last dollar to a stranger if he thought they needed it more. He was overall one of the best men you could ever meet.
His wife said of Owen, “I could not have asked for a better man to spend the last 20 years with and have three beautiful children and raise them together."
He had a passion to collect firearms over the years and enjoyed target shooting every chance he got. He was also a fan of all sports, especially football and baseball following his kid's activities, and also enjoyed playing softball for years.
In addition to his parents, Owen was preceded in death by grandparents, Red and Ann Reynolds, Nana Ruth and Grandpa Babe Owen, Uncle Maxwilliam Reed and Grandpa Herb Harris.
Survivors include his wife, Renae Reynolds, daughters, Morgan Reynolds, 17, Ruth Ann Reynolds, 14, and son, Garry Reynolds, 16; brother, David Reynolds and wife Susan,; sisters, Amber Clagg and husband Reggie, Kindel Hunter and Vanessa Johnson; mother-in-law, Michelle Barnett; brother-in-law, Gabe Baugh and wife Sarah; father-in-law, Paul Baugh and wife Brenda; nieces and nephews, Logan Reynolds, Autumn Reynolds, Abigail Reynolds, Josh Pedigo, Brittany Eastburn, Emilee Pedigo, Gabe Baugh, Jr., Kyley Baugh, Isaac Baugh, Alydia Clagg, Leraya Clagg, Mya Merrill, Allie Merrill, Lana Merrill, Grayson Hunter, Morgan Rominger, Kayden Hunter, and six great nieces and nephews.
