(From Daniel Funeral Home)George "Bill" Taylor Jr., age 74, of Golden City, Missouri passed away October 25, 2023, at his home with family by his side.
George was born September 13, 1949 in Riverside, California to George R. Taylor Sr. and Alberta (Hargrave) Taylor.
On September 23, 2000, George married Dixie Shaw in Joplin, MO.
George retired from MoDOT after 30 years. He worked 15 years for Barton County Commission and would run road graders for various townships. George loved music and even played at Silver Dollar City in Branson. He seemed to master every instrument that he picked up but his favorite thing was being with family.
Survivors include his wife, Dixie; three sons, Bradley (Cassie) Taylor of Greenfield, Missouri, Jerry Jenkins of Jefferson City, Missouri and Ryan (Stephanie) Jenkins of Golden City, Missouri; one daughter, Sharla (Donald) Rogers of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Lyman and Betty Shaw; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley (Eldor) VonStroh and Sharon (David) Disney.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 30, 2023, at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Paradise Cemetery.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 30, 2023 until service time at the funeral home.
