Larry Jordan

Larry Noel Jordan, a beloved husband, brother, and uncle, passed peacefully on October 27, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. 

Born in Joplin, Missouri on November 20, 1951, the son of the late Noel H. Jordan and Thelma L. (Snyder) Jordan. He married Linda Lees on November 10, 1971, in Kansas City, Missouri. 

Larry was a veteran serving his country with the United States Army. Larry spent his professional life as a custodian at Missouri Southern State College until his retirement in 1996. 

He was a devout member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, where he served as a 3rd degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He loved riding motorcycles and driving Corvettes, relishing the thrill of speed and the freedom of the open road. His love for animals was equally profound, and he was often found in the company of his beloved pets.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Linda Jordan of Carthage, Missouri; his brother David Jordan (Kathy) of Independence, Missouri; and his sister, Phyllis McDonnell of Dallas, Texas. He also leaves behind his nephew, Lawrence Jordan of Joplin, Missouri, and several other nieces and nephews. Each of them held a special place in Larry's heart, and his memory will live on through their shared stories and remembrances.

Larry was also preceded in death by a sister Barbara Simmons.

Funeral mass will be held at 10am Saturday, November 4, 2023, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Wild Rose Cemetery, Webb City, Missouri. Rosary will be held at 5 pm Friday, November 3, 2023, at Knell Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7 pm Friday, November 3, 2023, at Knell Mortuary.
