(From Clark Funeral Home)Nahzar B. Yens was born on the Island of Pingelap on July 9, 1960. He began his educational journey at Pingelap Elementary School on the island of Pingelap and later continued his studies at PICS High School in Pohnpei.
After high school, he attended the M.O.C Trade School in Palau. Upon completing his education, he returned to Pohnpei and began his career at Bernard's Enterprise as an electronic technician for the TV station. Subsequently, he worked at Comsat and TeleCom of Pohnpei.
On December 17, 1983, Nahzar married Kinioryihda Keller of Guam. Their union was blessed with three children, Johnson Yens and wife Asieda of Guam, Nelind and husband Edward of Missouri, and Irving Yens and wife Sisca of Arkansas, six grandchildren, Johson Jr. Yens, Arroyo Yens, Mason Yens, Trey Yens, Kahdson Yens, and Harnca Yens.
In 1996, Nahzar became a deacon and later served as Assistant Pastor in 2000. He eventually assumed the role of Pastor in 2001 and faithfully continued in this capacity until he was called to the Lord on October 3, 2023.
Nahzar is survived by his adoptive parents, Pihda and Neli of Pingelap, Micronesia, as well as three siblings: Pesalim Charley, Melihna Manasa of Pingelap, and Pinder Yens of Chuuk. He also leaves behind seven other siblings: Ioana Kenneth of Pingelap, Melson Darra of Nebraska, Esi Ohbed of Mwokiloa, Pelson Charkey of Pohnpei, Dahwa Manuel of Missouri, Melihner Hendy of Arkansas, and Franklin Darra of Pingelap.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 3:00 - 5:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 9:00 AM, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho, Missouri, interment to follow, will be at Howard Cemetery, in Goodman, Missouri.
