Levada Woods

Levada Mae Woods, 63, of Carthage, Missouri, returned home on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

Levada was born on November 29, 1959, to A.W. Ervin and Joy “Presson” Ervin in Durant, Oklahoma. She grew up in Calera, OK but has spent the last 24 years living in Carthage.

Levada enjoyed the outdoors and loved to take care of her cats and her dog along with the occasional chicken. Her favorite thing to do was to take pictures of her kids, grandkids, meals she made, or whatever captured her fancy and share them with all of her Facebook friends.

 
She is survived by her life partner of the past 25 years, John Craghan. Along with John, she is survived by her three sons: Jeremy Ervin (Kelli) of McKinney, Texas, Jason Collier of Moore, Oklahoma, and Cory Collier of Fort Worth, Texas; one stepson, Matthew Craghan of Denver, Colorado; one stepdaughter, Brenda Henson of Carthage, Missouri; one brother, Dwayne Ervin (Debbie) of Sherman, Texas; and four grandsons, Wade, Cole, Hayden, and Cash. d

She is preceded in passing by both her parents and one brother, Joe Ervin.

Per the family’s wishes, there will be a celebration of life scheduled at a later date.
