Fred McClintock

Frederic Bruce McClintock, affectionately known as "Fred," passed away on November 7, 2023, in Joplin, Missouri. He was born on August 23, 1952, in Vincennes, Indiana, to the late Hayden and Billie McClintock.

Fred was a proud veteran, having served as a Staff Sergeant and combat medic in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. His bravery and dedication to his fellow soldiers were a testament to his character. After her military service, he transitioned into civilian life as a truck driver.







Fred was a devoted family man. He is survived by her loving wife, Paula McClintock, and his children, Cassidy, Ben, James, Aaron Sam, Sarah, and Shawn Luke McClintock; a brother, John McClintock. He also leaves behind a cherished family friend, Angela Shipman, and his beloved cat, Acer. Along with his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his twin brother, James McClintock.

In his spare time, Fred had a passion for tending to his vegetable garden. He was a fan of western movies and gambling. He was also a member of the VFW post.

A Funeral service is planned for Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary in Joplin, MO. A visitation will start at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary.
