Richard Bjorklund

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Richard Henry Bjorklund 71, on October 27, 2023 in Joplin, Missouri. He was born November 9, 1951 in Worcester, MA to Henry and Beverly Bjorklund. He grew up in West Boylsten, Massachusetts then later moved to the Florida Keys and finally settled in Joplin, Missouri where he lived until his passing.

Richard Bjorklund will be remembered as being a devoted spouse, loving sibling, and loyal
friend. He left behind his wife of 33 years, Diana Bjorklund, who followed him in death on November 6, 2023. 

He is survived by a brother, David Bjorklund of Jupiter, Florida, a brother Stephen Bjorklund of West Boylsten, Massachusetts and a sister, Lynne Doldoorian of Whitinsville, Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Bjorklund of West Boylsten, Massachusetts and his parents Henry and Beverly Bjorklund of West Boylsten, Massachusetts. He also leaves behind two stepdaughters, Kelly McGregor and Christy Kilpatrick and her husband James Kilpatrick, Jr. and three grandchildren, Abigail Kilpatrick, Emma Kilpatrick and Calvin Kilpatrick.

Richard Bjorklund was the owner of Cardinal Building Maintenance, LLC. He devoted his time to community Bible education work with Jehovah’s Witnesses. He enjoyed cooking, spending time with friends, and observing nature.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 1p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 1201 S. Schifferdecker Avenue, Joplin, MO
