Tom Allgood

Tom M. Allgood, 74, of Joplin, Missouri passed away at 11:36 AM on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri after a lengthy illness.

Tom was born January 26, 1950, in Joplin, Missouri where he had resided his entire life.

He was a 1967 graduate of Joplin High School. He started working at Midway Machine in Neosho in 1968 where he was a machinist before retiring in 2020.







He was of the Christian faith. He really enjoyed fishing, hunting, stock car racing and his time a Roaring River. What he loved the most in life was his family and friends. He was so proud of his family and loved each one of them.

He married Juanita Marie McGuirk on May 24, 1968, in Joplin, Missouri and she preceded him in death on September 20, 2021.

Survivors include; two sons, Steve (Sandy) Allgood of Joplin and Randy Allgood (Friend-Lacy Hammond); one brother, John Allgood of Joplin, Missouri; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two life-long friends, Randy Belk and his wife Sharon and Bob Lewis and his wife Rita.








Tom was preceded in death by; his parent, John and Norma Hamilton Allgood; his wife, Juanita Allgood; and one sister, Phyllis Bates.

Services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Mason-Woodard Chapel, with Rev. Darren Rorrer conducting the services.

Pallbearers will be: Keith Bates, Tanner Ideker, Brandon Chew, Rob Alves, Brandon Millard, and Dereck Eubanks.

Memorial contributions may be made to Joplin Shrine Club travel fund.
The visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM at Mason-Woodard Chapel on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
Interment will be at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri.
After the committal service, the family will receive friends at the Joplin Shrine Club located at 2873 S. Kenser Road, Joplin, Missouri.
