(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)Retha Ann Johnson of Miami, OK passed from this life Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. She was 79.
Retha was born March 29, 1945 in Neosho, MO to Walter and Sarah Elizabeth (Jefferson) Crews. She had lived in Miami most of her life moving from Neosho, MO. She graduated from Neosho High School class of 1963.
Retha was co-owner of Allgood Body Shop in Miami for 15 years, had worked 11 years as a Southwestern Bell Switchboard Operator, worked 10 years at Green Country Federal Saving and Loan in Miami and for First National Bank and Trust in Miami for 10 Years. She enjoyed her ranch east of Miami and taking care of her cattle and pets. She was a member of Miami Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and was Past Worthy Matron. She helped organize the Rebel Car Club and car show and was a member of several local sororities.
Retha married Gary Johnson on February 10, 1968 and he preceded her in death January 22, 2022. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Kathryn Marble and Elizabeth Crews.

Retha is survived by 1 son, Todd Johnson of Miami, OK and 1 sister Ruple Herrin of Neosho, MO and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2025 at N.E. O. Memorial Veteran Cemetery in North Miami, OK. . Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK. Online condolences may be made at www.paulthomasfuneralhomes.com.
