Jack McGuire

Jackie Don McGuire, 67, a longtime Miami resident, passed away at Freeman Health System in Joplin, Missouri on Sunday, March 23, 2025. 

Jack was born on November 14, 1957 in Miami to Jimmie and Darlene (Park) McGuire. He was a Navy brat, so he moved around as a child then he graduated from Vinita High School. He worked for Mar Fab in Pryor for 9 years, sold insurance for American General for 15 years before going to work for Old Dominion Freight lines where he was a line haul driver for nineteen and a half years. 






Jack loved his family. He loved being with his kids, grandkids and great grandchild. He would follow them in anything they did from their different school activities to band. He loved God, loved helping his friends and neighbors. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and cooking. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Jimmie and Darlene McGuire and his grandparents Pete and Lahoma Park and Henry and Oma McGuire.

Those who will share Jack’s memories are his loving wife of forty-seven years Diana McGuire, his son Shannon Thomas and wife Samantha of Webb City, their children Jodi, Ashley and her husband Bryson Baker, son Keegan and great granddaughter Remington, his son Brandon McGuire and wife Leslie of Miami, and their children Addison and Mason, his daughter Stefanie Mahurin and husband Larry of Pea Ridge, Arkansas and their children Connor, Paisley and Olivia, a sister Pegi Fultz and her husband Marcus of Broken Arrow, his brothers Terry and Billy McGuire, his nephews Forrest and Cameron Beadle and his Aunt Ilene Carr, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.








There will be a Celebration of Life for Jack on Saturday, March 29th, 2025 at 2:00pm at First Christian Church in Fairland, Oklahoma with Minister Gary Radke officiating. Services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.

Honorary Pallbearers are Keegan Thomas, Connor Mahurin, Cameron Beadle, Forrest Beadle, David Steele, Billy Murphy, Dave Robbins, and Travis Shaw.
