(From Parker Mortuary)Virginia L. Miksell, age 87, of Duenweg, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at National HealthCare Joplin.
Virginia was born on June 19, 1937 in Duenweg, Missouri to the late union of Claude and Maudie (Wilson) Conrow. She worked for Skaggs & Montgomery Ward, as well as Hertz Rental for nearly 54 years before retiring. She married Bill Miksell on June 8, 1952 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Together they were blessed with 54 years before his passing on November 24, 2006. She was a lifetime member of Duenweg Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a devoted mother and loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Glenda Miksell and Billie Hight; granddaughter, Shelly Moser; brother, Earl Conrow; sister, Sleta Shipman; and one special companion, Duce.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Teresa Ratrie and husband, Leon; son, Bobby Moser II and wife, Melissa; granddaughter, Tess Checkley; four great-grandchildren, Shelby O’Field, Tay Cable, Ty Cable and Allisyn Moser; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary with Pastor C.G. Gillmore officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Park Cemetery with Bobby Moser II, Ed Heckmaster, Levi Eddins, Jason Reding, Rober McKnight, Brad Crosby, Jared Klouse and Colt Gunnett serving as pallbearers.
Funeral arrangements are under the special care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
