(From Buchanan Funeral Home)Tony R. Morgan, 62, of Carthage, MO formerly of Purdy, MO, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at St. Luke’s Nursing Center in Carthage, MO.
Tony was born on January 31, 1963, in Caldwell, ID, son of Samuel and Helen (Nodine) Morgan. He was an over-the-road truck driver for many years. Tony attended New Freedom Worship Center in Purdy, MO. He always loved to visit with family and friends. Throughout his life, he had a passion for Chevy trucks.
On July 12, 1984, in Butterfield, MO, Tony and Shirley Ennis were united in marriage. They were blessed with nineteen wonderful years together before her passing.
Tony is survived by his two stepsons; Kevin Ennis and Brian Ennis; two brothers, James Morgan and wife Vicky of Stotts City, MO and Troy Morgan and wife Cherri of Cassville, MO; one sister, Betty Wagoner and husband Rick of Miami, OK; and a host of extended family and friends.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Shirley; two brothers, Jess Morgan and Michael Morgan; and one sister, Rhonda Morgan.
Graveside memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2025 in the Union Cemetery at Stella, MO, family and friends are all welcomed. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
