James "Jim" Steven Parrish was born in Joplin, MO on August 16, 1957. He passed away on March 16, 2025 at his home in Webb City. He was a man whose spirit was as bright as his humor.

A true testament to his character, Jim was a funny, stubborn and spirited individual who embraced life with an infectious enthusiasm that will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known him. Despite this stubbornness, he loved all people, and made sure everyone around him knew he was accepting of everyone.

Jim was more than just a caretaker in his professional life; he was a caretaker at heart, always ensuring those around him felt loved and cared for.

Jim was a devoted son, father, and a cherished grandfather. He will be fondly remembered for his love of teaching, especially when it came to life lessons and math, a topic he cherished. Jim’s zest for life was truly unparalleled, and his joyous and giving spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he left behind. His time with his family was what mattered most to him, and the memories they created will be cherished for generations to come.
