Anita Rash

Anita Carlene (Cox) Rash entered this world on January 6, 1947, to William Eugene and Marie Grace (Smith) Cox in Douglass, Nebraska. She entered her heavenly home March 25, 2025, in Joplin, MO with her loving son, Raymond Dale, by her side.

Anita married Dale Eugene Rash on July 20, 1968, in Ritchey, MO. To this union two children were born Jeanette Arlene Rash and Raymond Dale Rash.

Anita was a homemaker and babysitter for many years in Granby, MO. After Raymond was out of school, she began working for Cox/Oxford Home Health Care from which she retired after 30 years. Anita enjoyed sewing, reading, crossword puzzles, and word searches in her free time.

She loved her family, friends, and God. She was a faithful servant of God, even influencing her roommate to read the Bible with her and pray while she was in Granby House. Anita was a faithful charter member of the Wesleyan Holiness Alliance Church in Diamond, MO.

Anita is survived by her son Raymond Rash of Granby, MO, two sisters: Shirley (Tom) Cargile of Washburn, MO and Billie Jeanne Cox of Granby, MO, two brothers: Howard (Stacey) Cox of Plainfield, IN and Jeff (Theresa) Cox of McMinnville, OR, sister-in-law Debra Cox of Warsaw, IN, brother-in-law Richard (Angie) Rash of Havensville, KS, one uncle Emory Ellison if Cassville, MO, her very special friend Janet Collinsworth, who faithfully came to see her multiple times a week to feed her when she couldn’t do it herself, many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Rash, their infant daughter, Jeanette, her parents: Marie Cox and William and Maryann Cox, her brother William (Billy) Cox, and sisters: Debbie Cox and Beverly Cox.

The family will be gathered to receive guests, contributions, and gifts at 447 S Pennsylvania in Granby, MO.
