She graduated eighth grade from Roscoe Elementary School and from Osceola, MO, high school. She was salutatorian at both graduations. After graduation, she attended Ozark Bible College in Joplin, MO, for three years. While at OBC, she met her husband, Grady Clyde Todd of Nashoba, OK. They were married July 4, 1962, in Roscoe Christian Church. Grady, an ordained minister, served churches in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas. Donna worked with him in those ministries, which spanned more than 50 years.
While she and Grady were serving at a church in Texarkana, TX, in 1977, Donna went to college and received a degree there as a Licensed Practical Nurse. They moved to Burlington, KS, in 1978 after her graduation, and she took the State Board exam in Topeka. She passed and received her license. She really enjoyed working as a nurse helping others in their time of need.
Her interests, besides helping in all church functions, were sewing clothing and quilts, planting flowers, reading, painting oil pictures, particularly of wildlife, and mowing the yard.
After Grady’s retirement in 2013, they moved to Carthage, MO. They were active in both Fairview Christian Church and The Bridge.
She is survived by her husband, Grady Todd, and her three sons and their wives, Ragan and Jennifer Todd, Grady and Faith Todd, and Allen and Marilynn Todd.
