Barbara Blaine

Barbara Kay Blaine, age 75, of Shelbina, MO, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Clarence Care Center in Clarence, MO. Barb was born on May 3, 1949 in Hannibal, MO, the daughter of John William and Nora-Belle (Bierly) Pence. She was united in marriage to Reese Blaine on September 16, 1967 in Edina, MO. 

Barb is survived by her husband of 57 years, Reese Blaine; her children, Jeff Blaine (Stephanie) of Sheridan, MO, Jon Blaine of Shelbina, MO, James Blaine (Cindi) of Leonard, MO, and Kisha Sherman of Shelbina, MO; 20 grandchildren, Ashley Heideman, Paige Cain, Mollie Hardy, Jeshua Blaine, Katrina Woods, Tyler Perrigo, Phillip Stevens, Jase Blaine, Logan and Lathan Beasley, Corbin Nolan, Celsey McQuitty, Caleb Barber, Daytona, Samuel, Gabi, Adrien, and Matthew Blaine, Arionna Nolan-Gilbert, and Zack Breden; 15 great-grandchildren, one brother, Carl Dean Pence (Dolly) of Kirkwood, MO; and one sister, Paula Rouner of Webb City, MO. 







Barb is preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Charles Rouner; and son-in-law, Kenny Sherman. 

Barb was a dedicated Christian and member of the Shelbina First Baptist Church. She spent her life as a faithful servant to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Barb was a nurse for over 50 years. Her greatest job was serving others in home health care and hospice care. Barb enjoyed quilting and sewing and taught several in her family how to. She loved people and always made the room glow when she came in. She wasn't a great cook, but loved watching cooking shows. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and most of all her great-grandchildren who lovingly called her Mema. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 4 pm-7 pm at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 10 am at Shelbina First Baptist Church in Shelbina, MO. A private family burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery near Leonard, MO. Memorials may be made to Cedar Grove Cemetery.
