Nancy Paradee

Nancy Ann Paradee, age 73, passed away at 10:00pm, Friday, March 14, 2025, at Freeman West Hospital following a sudden illness.

Nancy was born April 7, 1951, in Kansas City, MO. Her parents were Herbert Massey and Mildred (Moore) Hartje. Raised in Joplin, MO. She had lived in Carl Junction for the past 35 years. She worked for Miller Clothing Company as a general assembler for almost 20 years until it closed. She then went on the work for other factories until she retired in 2006. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, traveling, and sitting in her recliner with her lap dogs.








Nancy was married to Gene E. “Buster” Paradee on November 6, 1992, in Carterville, MO. Survivors include three daughters, Legena Smith (Bryan), Oswego, KS; Kim Shember, Carl Junction, MO; Casey Glaze (Sean), Joplin, MO; and one son, BJ Paradee (Stacy), Liberal, MO; two brothers, Jim Evens (Jean), Quapaw, OK; Tom Hartje, Joplin, MO; Ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Mildred Hartje, one sister, Linda Massey, one brother David Evans, and her beloved husband, Buster. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park, Joplin, MO. A celebration of life will be held at Schermerhorn Park, Galena, KS on Sunday, April 6, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ozark Memorial Park in care of Nancy Paradee. Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park Crematory, Joplin, MO
