(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Ronald Gene "Ronnie" Shultz, age 77 of Crestline, KS, passed away at 6:07 PM on Friday, March 21, 2025 at Joplin Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Ronnie was born in Columbus, KS on January 13, 1948 to the union of Harry Don Shultz and Edna Pauline (Epperson) Shultz. He attended the Crestline (KS) school until eighth grade, and later attended and graduated from Columbus High School with the Class of 1966. He enjoyed gardening, wood-working, and even quilting.
He was a member of the Crestline Christian Church, Quail Unlimited, and the Heartland Antique Auto Club of Joplin, and also served as a member of the Columbus USD 493 School Board through most of the 1990's. Ronnie was a lifetime resident of the Crestline area.
Survivors include his sister, Carol Phelps of Crestline, KS; two sons, Justin Shultz (wife, Mashea) of Crestline, Don Shultz (wife, Jami) of Bethel, MN; one daughter, Cindy Carrier of Baxter Springs, KS; ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Pauline Shultz.
Mr. Shultz has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena for cremation. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Crestline Christian Church.
