(From Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home)Sandra Deane Moore (41) ascended peacefully on a cloud to heaven on March 11, 2025.
Her sweet spirit shining brightly. Sandra was a determined young lady who never held a grudge and was quicky to say “I’m sorry”. Born in Casper, Wyoming with a genetic disorder Phenylketonuria (PKU) that was treatable by special diet but not curable. Sandra grew up knowing this was just part of her life. Sandra made friends easily wherever we lived and lived life with a sassiness that could only make you smile.
Sandra graduated from Ft. Scott, Kansas high school in 2002 and went on to receive her Associates in Applied Science in Computers from Fort Scott Community College in 2004.
She worked for Walmart and Mercy Hospital before moving to Sarcoxie, MO in 2010 to help take care of her mother and become a farm girl on her parents’ farm. She loved the outdoors and all animals, helping raise alpacas, chickens, cows, farm cats and dogs, and especially loved riding her horse Lady.
She is preceded in death by her maternal great grandmother Sibyle Ollie, her paternal grandfather Robert Dean Moore, and cousin Aaron Bailey Atchley.
She is survived by her parents Doug and Penny Moore, a sister Sabrina Moore, nephews, Andrew Grimm, and Malaki Cady, her grandparents Dean and Carol Havill, her grandmother Dee Moore, her Aunts Phoebe Havill, Polly Oliver (Kent) and cousin Tyler Oliver, DeAnna Hlousek, Keri Atchley (John), Denise McKinney (Gary), Tami Dillon (Jeremy), her Uncle Terry Moore (Jackie), and many other cousins.
Services are at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Housh- Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie with Pastor Denise McKinney officiating. Visitation will be at 5:30 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Three Rivers Hospice or NORD- National Organization for Rare Disorders in care of the funeral home.
