Donald Lee Dawe, age 69, of Lamar, Missouri passed away at his home, Thursday, June 28, 2018.
Donald was born December 26, 1948 in Troy, Kansas to Robert Lyman and Georgia Martha (Jeschke) Dawe. He served his county in the United States Navy and attended Pittsburg State University, where he received a degree in Lab Sciences.
On May 28, 1987, he married Deloris Masterson in Miami, Oklahoma. He had worked as a Medical Technologist at Freeman Hospital for 14 years and had worked at Barton County Memorial Hospital, prior to that. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle and attended Lamar Family Ministries Church.
Donald leaves behind his wife Deloris; two sons, Charles (Tammy) Dawe, Weir, Kansas, and Michael Dawe, Pittsburg, Kansas; three step-sons, Joe (Becky) Watson, Osage Beach, Missouri, Rick Watson, Lamar, Missouri, and Randy (Patty) Watson, Lamar, Missouri; a daughter, Tami Drake, Pittsburg, Kansas and a step-daughter, Lisa Anderson, Lamar, Missouri; two sister, Linda and Norleen; 15 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Derek Watson.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Monday, July 2, 2018 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Oakton Cemetery.
There will be no formal visitation, but friends can pay their respects 10:00 am until 6:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
