Koree Louise Sponsel, age 25, of Carthage, Mo passed away early Thursday morning July 5, 2018 in Kansas City, Mo. She was born on May 13, 1993 in Joplin, Mo the daughter of Jeff and Becky Sponsel. She was a 2010 graduate of Carthage High School.
Koree was survived by her parents, Jeff and Becky, her children; a brother Logan Sponsel and wife Ashely; a sister Brittany Thompson and husband Seth, and grandfather Jack Givens.
In life she enjoyed going to rummage sales, thrift shopping, and spending time with her children, family, and friends. She was an extremely hard worker and worked at various restaurant locations in the Carthage and Joplin area where she was able to interact with many people. She had a warm, compassionate, and loyal personality that will be missed by all who knew her.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church, Carthage. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Private family inurnment will be at Park Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Kansas City Rescue Mission or The Lafayette House of Joplin. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
