Jerrald Kenton Fly passed away at the age of 79 at his home on October 7, 2018 after a battle with cancer.
Jerry was born to Kenton and Lotus Fly in 1939 in Joplin, Missouri.
He graduated from Webb City High School in 1957, then graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1962.
In 1976, Jerry moved back to Webb City to work with his father, Kenton Fly, owner of Webb City Hardware. After Kenton’s passing in 2000, Jerry assumed operation of the store until 2003, when he retired.
He is survived by his wife, Janette Fly, whom he married in 1988. Three daughters, Cheryl Nowack, Webb City, Carol Fly, Joplin, and Cathy Lambert. Three grandsons, Wesley Nowack, Lathe and Caden Lassiter, one stepson, Kevin Sidenstricker and wife Christin.
Services will be 11:00 am Thursday October 11, 2018 at the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home with Mike Giesert officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6:00 – 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
