Doug Hudson

Douglas Gene “Doug” Hudson, age 53, of Rocky Comfort, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at his home.

He was born February 5, 1964 in Monett, Missouri the son of Mal and Mary Jane (Williams) Hudson. On May 30, 2001 he was united in marriage to Jill Phelps, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, JoGina Park and her husband Chris of Wheaton, Missouri; his father, Mal Hudson of Cassville, Missouri; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Glen and BJo Phelps of Wheaton, Missouri; step-father, Carl Barker and his wife Mary of Monett, Missouri; brother-in-law, Joe Phelps and his wife Linda of Joplin, Missouri; step-brother, Larry Barker and his wife Lorie of Breckenridge Hills, Missouri; four step-sisters, Sharon Knapp and her husband Bill of Cassville, Missouri, Samantha Chappell and her husband Dean of Aurora, Missouri, Sue Barker of Marionville, Missouri and Debbie Daniel and her husband Bill of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three grandchildren, Kelton, Jayci and Palyn Park; aunts; uncles; cousins; a niece and a nephew and their families.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Mary Jane Barker and two step-sons, Jared and Brandon Carter.

Doug attended grade school at Jenkins and graduated from high school at Exeter. He was a welder, working for numerous companies all over the United States, including Puerto Rico, and making many lifelong friends along the way. He was currently employed by Northern Pipeline. He also was a heavy equipment operator. Doug loved welding, loved working, and loved fishing. His three grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was a member of the Pythagoras Masonic Lodge #383.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 4, 2017 at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton, Missouri. Pastor Paul Wahlert will conduct the services. Burial will be in Union Cemetery at Stella, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. Sunday at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
