(From Knell Mortuary)Billie Jean McMichael, 93, was born in Carthage, Missouri on June 5, 1927 and passed away on May 25, 2021 in Dallas, Texas.
Billie graduated from Carthage High School in 1945 and married James W. (Jim) McMichael, Jr. in 1946. She was a bookkeeper for Flex-O-Lator, Inc. and later worked in her husband’s diesel repair and trucking businesses.
Billie was predeceased in death by her husband, Jim; her father, Robert L. (Bill) Loyd and stepmother, Margaret Loyd; and her mother, Polly Jean Frost, and stepfather, Frank Frost.

Billie is survived by her son, James W. (Mike) McMichael, III and wife, Mary Ann; two granddaughters, Amy Bray and husband, Kevin, and Erin Berger and husband, Scott; four great-grandchildren, Addison Bray, Aiden Bray, Gracie Berger and Jackson Berger; and special friends, Carol and Les Baird.
Billie was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Carthage where she was active in many ministries and served as an Elder and Deacon.
Funeral services for Billie will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Knell Mortuary, Carthage, with private family interment to follow at Park Cemetery, Carthage. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Carthage, 115 W. Chestnut Street, Carthage, Missouri 64836 in care of Knell Mortuary.
