Ruth Smith

Mrs. Ruth Louise (Kisling) Smith, 95, of Sarcoxie, Missouri passed away on Tuesday afternoon, May 18, 2021 in the comfort of her home.

Ruth entered this life on November 5, 1925 in rural Sarcoxie to the union of the late John and Fern (Howell) Kisling. 

On June 8, 1946 she was united in marriage to Dale Leroy Smith, together they shared sixty-three years until his passing on November 26, 2009. 








Ruth was of the Baptist faith. She was a very devoted homemaker, taking care of her family as well as working on the family farm. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends. She had been a member of the Gingham Gals Club. She will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; and three brothers, Carl Kisling, Clarence Kisling and Junior Kisling.

Ruth is survived by her children, Leroy Smith, and wife, Treva of Sarcoxie, Deloris Reynolds, and husband, John of Carthage and Brenda Youngblood of Diamond; sister, Ella Clark of Sarcoxie; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services for Mrs. Ruth Smith are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Sarcoxie Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Filsinger officiating. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are grandson, Jason Smith, great-grandson, Austin Bland, Martin Clark, Jim Carnes, Marty Bland, and Tyler Mikish.
