J. C. Herrell

JC Herrell was born December 3, 1952 in Carthage, Missouri, the son of Clarence and Helen Herrell. He entered into rest on May 17, 2021 in Joplin, following a sudden illness at the age of 68. 

JC lived most of his life in the southwest Missouri area. He served in the U.S. Army and worked as a legal process server for court services, retiring in October 2020. He was a member of the VFW, loved his cat and dog and was enjoying his retirement in Florida. He was of the Baptist faith. 

 JC and Billie (Adams) were married on Feb. 9, 2001 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and she survives. 

Additional survivors include four children, Marcus Herrell and Kathy Herrell of Webb City, Missouri; Andrea (Mark) Carpenter of Winter Garden, FL and James (Sarah) Slaughter of Andover, MA; eight grandchildren, Kaitlin (Cheyenne) Grantham, Maci Carpenter, Avery Slaughter, Jackson Slaughter, Emma Slaughter, Destiny Dunn, Bruin Davis and Kenlie Herrell and two sisters, Charene Hudson of Neosho and Marsha (Larry) Gilbert of El Dorado Springs, MO. 

He is preceded in death by his parents.
