Dennis Fischer

Dennis Michael Fischer, 53, of Joplin, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at his home.

Dennis was born June 19, 1967 in Fremont, California, to Kenneth and Arlene (Balthazar) Fischer.

Dennis was a certified welder and diesel mechanic. He was currently employed with Missouri Metals as a torch cutter.








In his younger years, Dennis enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping and fishing with his dad and brother. He had a huge interest in old cars, anything involving Harley Davidson, and reptiles. He was an avid collector of knives and Zippo lighters.

Dennis was social and the life of the party; he loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone in need. Dennis was lovable, hilarious, and always able to cheer anyone up on those hard days. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

On August 17, 2017, Dennis married Tereasa Etter in Miami, Oklahoma, and she survives. He was always certain to remind her how much he loved her. She was truly his everything.

Dennis is also survived by his children, Alan Fischer (Bailey), Dennis Fischer, Jr., Hannah Etter, Halaina Durant, Meghan Durant, and Makayela Durant; several grandchildren, including Emalyn, Brentley, and Nova; his parents, Kenneth Fischer (Marie) and Arlene Fischer; his brother, Mark Fischer (Kristen) and their children; his father-in-law and close friend, Jimmie Etter, and his wife, June; as well as a host of aunts and uncles, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, T.J. Fischer.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Parker Mortuary with Pastor Alan McCamey officiating. Viewing will be held on Friday, May 21, from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his wife, Tereasa. Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
