(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)Lana Lee Waybright of Miami, OK passed from this life Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. She was 76.
Lana was born May 26, 1944 in Miami, OK to Bussie and Dora (McBee) Corbus. She had lived in the Miami and Commerce area most of her life. She was a 1962 graduate of Commerce High School.
Lana worked for the Ottawa County Clerk's Office, the Ottawa County District Attorney's Office and was a manager for the State of Oklahoma Child Support Unit for Ottawa County. She was a member of Cardin Baptist Church.
Lana loved shopping, it didn't matter whether it was at Dillard's or Goodwill. She loved people, especially her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-granddaughter, Kelbi Waybright.
Lana married Bernard "Buster Waybright on June 1, 1963. He survives of the home. Lana is also survived by 2 sons, Brian Waybright and his wife Tonya of Fairland, OK and Scott Waybright of Seneca, MO, her adopted daughter, Kelly Durborow of Wyandotte, OK, 1 sister, Linda Witzansky of Tulsa, OK, 3 grandchildren, Logan Lett, Ashlee Waybright and wife Cassi Waybright and Bryce Waybright and 2 great-grandchildren, Kayden Lennox and Kinzley Lennox.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Cardin Baptist Church, east of Miami, OK with Rev. Geoff Buffalo officiating. Interment will follow in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. Tim Corbus, Troy Witzansky, Michael Saltzman, Johnny Williams, Ron Yankowski and Blaine Smyth will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be John Davis and John Burton Eddings. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK.
