Gina Park

Regina A Park, age 66, went to be with the Lord at 9:25 am, Friday, May 14, 2021 at her home following an illness.

Gina was born September 1, 1954 in Marvell, Arkansas. Her parents were Richard A and Gwendolyn (Dunaway) Wiles.








As a young girl, she and her family moved to Galena, KS. She attended Galena High School with the class of 1972 and graduated from Truman High School in Independence, Mo. After graduating high school, Gina received her nursing degree and began her career at St John’s Hospital where she worked until she moved to Texas in 1987. Then in Texas, she began her journey in Long Term Care for 13 years. 

After returning to Joplin in 2000 she continued in her service in Long Term Care at Webb City Health & Rehab, Joplin Gardens & then ending her career at Silver Creek Senior Living by Americare as the Director of Nursing. She gave and cared for so many through the years and was very proud to have remained COVID free to date, keeping her staff and residents safe.

Gina was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church, Joplin, MO. She was active in the Personal Growth Retreat Ministry there. She volunteered with the Red Cross and worked with them during the Joplin tornado recovery. She enjoyed shopping at flea markets, and loved to redecorate. Her place of respite was the sun and the sand of beaches she loved traveling to.

Gina married Alfred “Al” Ray Wilson on May 21, 1979 and his three children, Justin Wilson (wife, Amy) Baxter Springs, KS, Stacie Rowland (FiancĂ©, Jesus Flores), Carl Junction, MO, and Angela Marando (husband Joe-D) Liberal, MO. Al preceded her in death September 10, 2002.

Gina then married Berton “Bert” W Park on April 12, 2013 in Joplin Missouri and his two children, Bailey Roach (husband, William), W. Hartford, CT and Brooklyn Logsdon (husband, Luke), Blufton, SC. Bert survives, with the 5 children, 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Kathy O’Neail, Potosi, MO.

In addition to her 1st husband Al, Gina is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Patricia Proctor.

Gina was entrusted to Derfelt Baxter Chapel, Baxter Springs, KS for cremation. She will be laid to rest in Pleasant View Cemetery, Baxter Springs, KS at a later date.
