Jeff Geary

(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)

Jeffrey Allen Geary passed from this life May 14, 2021 peacefully at his home in Miami, Oklahoma. He was 42 years young.

He was born on April 1, 1979 in Richmond, California. He moved to Oklahoma in 1985 with his mother and sister.

Jeff loved his sports, rather it be playing them in school or watching them on tv, especially his favorite team, the KC Chiefs. Jeff loved to draw. He used his talent to draw different paintings for his loved ones.

Jeff was a family man. He loved hanging out with his friends and family. One of his favorite things to do was visit his grandparents Lois and Jesse McCoy, where his most fun was playing with chickens and riding on his grandpas tractor. Some of his favorite past times included watching football with his dad, chatting with his mom, and traveling with his wife.

He loved being a grandpa and spending the holidays with his families. He was so proud of his children and his neices and nephew because there wasn’t one event of theirs that he didnt attend.

He was a high school graduate of Commerce High School in 1997 where he furthered his education at Tulsa Welding School. He became a welder for the rest of his life ending his career at Mitchell Mills in Joplin, Mo.

Along his journey in life, Jeff became a father to two beautiful girls from his previous marriage to Christel Hall. He got the honors of being a grandpa for the first time to a granddaughter, Kaselynn, and a granddaughter, Saylor, on the way.

He later met the love of his life in 2016, Michelle Brown. In March of 2020, they became husband and wife. From the moment they met they were inseparable. They loved travelling, riding bicycles together, working on their home and building things for it, and growing plants. Their goal in life was to grow old together, so it only seemed fitting that he passed away in his sleep next to his soulmate.

Survivors include his wife Michelle Geary of the home, two daughters, Ashley Geary and her boyfriend Jake Meneely, and Haley Geary and her fiance Andrew Swanson, granddaughter Kaselynn and soon to be Saylor, his mother Pamela Adkins, his two fathers Mark Geary and John Adkins, his sisters Joy Tyree and Larissa McMahan and husband Chester.

Jeff was an amazing uncle to his neices and nephews, Chelsea Severs and her husband Dakota, Brittany Tyree and her boyfriend Austin, Brandon Tyree, and Amelia McMahan. He had an army of aunts, uncles, and cousins who he loved dearly, and numerous friends that he loved so much he always thought of them as family. He will be greatly missed and loved by all.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel.
