Bob Wilson

Mr. Bobby Gene “Bob” Wilson, 75, of Seneca, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday morning, May 18, 2021, in the comfort of his home.

Bob entered this life on November 21, 1945, in Joplin, Missouri, son of the late John and Tettie (Rector) Wilson. He was raised in Tiff City and was a 1963 graduate of Southwest City High School. 

On August 26, 1965, he was united in marriage to Mildred Joyce Robeson and to this union three sons were born. 








Bob was a Pastor and Police Officer throughout his life, graduating from Midwest Bible Institute and Missouri Southern State College Police Academy. He ministered for over fifty years with the last twenty-five years at New Bethel Church in Anderson. He started his law enforcement career with the Goodman Police Department in December of 1992, later moving to Seneca Police Department in August of 1994, where he retired in 2010. Bob served four years on the Seneca City Council and was still a Reserve Officer with the Seneca Police Department. He enjoyed reading Gods Word, watching the Andy Griffith Show and carpentry projects.

His parents and a cousin, Charles Wilson, preceded him in death.

Bob is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Joyce Wilson of the home; three sons, Randy Wilson and wife, Kim, of Noel, Robert Wilson of Seneca and Rusty Wilson and wife, Sabrina, of Anderson; five grandchildren, Nick Wilson, Kristian Thomas, Destini Wilson, Kohlman Wilson and Sawyer Wilson; three great grandchildren, Blaine, Logan and Brooklyn Thomas; a sister, Judy Wilson Weaver and husband, Sam, of Anderson; a cousin, Bill Wilson and wife, Linda, of Tiff City, Missouri; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 21, 2021, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastors Ronnie Tosh and Haskel Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Anderson Cemetery. 

Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Randy Wilson, Robert Wilson, Rusty Wilson, Nick Wilson, Kohlman Wilson, Sawyer Wilson and Josh Thomas with Wesley Robbins, Roy Scribner, Bill Wilson, Roland Keith and Bud Keith serving as honorary. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
