(From Daniel Funeral Home)Donald Dee McKibben, age 82, of Lamar, Missouri, passed away May 22, 2021 at Via Christi Village, Pittsburg, Kansas, after a short illness.
Donald was born June 23, 1938 in Lamar, MO to Dee and Margaret (Folkner) McKibben. On June 11, 1961 Donald married Wilma Smith in Nashville, MO. Together they built their lives on the family farm and raised three children.
Donald graduated Lamar High School in 1956. He served his country as a member of the Missouri National Guard. Donald was a lifetime farmer and raised polled hereford cattle. Donald was a man of great faith and a member of the Oakton United Methodist Church. He was also a former member of the Barton County Extension Council and Missouri Farm Bureau.
Donald is survived by his wife Wilma McKibben of Lamar, three children; Dean McKibben, Liberal, Donna McKibben, Lamar and Doug McKibben and his wife Cathy of Lamar, his grandchildren; Caitlyn Brummett and husband Bryce, Mindenmines, Chad McKibben, Lamar and Chase McKibben, Lamar, Donald was also blessed with a great-grandson, Mick Brummett.
Donald was preceded in death by both of his parent, infant twin brother, Ronald Lee McKibben, and infant brother James Arnold McKibben.
Donald enjoyed Church, attending cattle shows and sporting events of his children and grandchildren, Southern gospel music and his card party group.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Oakton United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery (Oakton).
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, May 25th, 2021 at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, MO.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to the Oak Grove Cemetery or Oakton United Methodist Church Building Fund in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
