Will Wilson

(From Ozark Funeral Home)

It is with profound sense of loss that the family of William A. Wilson announce his passing on May 10, 2021 at the age of 63.

Will was born in Joplin, Missouri to William Wilson Jr and Helen May (Longacre) Wilson. Will’s parents owned and operated Wilson’s Food Market in Joplin, and it was there that Will learned to practice determination and a strong work ethic that would make him successful in business.

Will was first bitten by the travel bug at 17. He left the family business, and embarked on an adventure, travelling to California where he lived for a year before returning home, and working in the grocery industry he already knew.

It was at the Consumers Grocery Store where he met his future wife, Lynn. Will and Lynn were married in the First Baptist Church of Neosho in April of 1989. Within a few short months, they purchased their first H&R Block office in Neosho and began building their lives and business together.

Will tackled life with exuberance and he was fiercely loyal to loved ones. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, boating, diving, and travel. But above all, he enjoyed the company of his wife.

Will was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen, and by his brother, David L. Wilson.

Will is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Lynn Wilson, and a family of many nieces and nephews, as well as grandnieces and grandnephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday May 22nd, at 3pm, at the First Baptist Church in Noel, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the American Cancer Society.
