(From Clark Funeral Home)George W. Eads, age 90, of Granby, Missouri, entered into rest on August 10, 2022. George was born February 3, 1932, in Wyandotte, Oklahoma, to Francis 'Bud' and Dorothy (Sellers) Eads. He graduated from Seneca High School in 1950 and then from Tulsa Welding Institute.
George served his country in the U.S. Army from September 1952 to July 1954. He worked as a welder at Flint Steel in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and at Rocketdyne in Neosho. He owned and operated two service stations in Seneca, Missouri, and then owned and operated Independent Welding in Neosho, retiring in 1994.
George was a hard worker and very generous, helping those who were less fortunate. He enjoyed time spent with his sons. He was a member of the Sweetwater Baptist Church.
On February 2, 1952, at the First Baptist Church in Seneca, Missouri, George and Velda Reta Black were united in marriage, and Velda survives.

In addition to his wife of 70 years, George is survived by two sons, Chris Eads and wife, Ro of Neosho, and Mark Eads and wife, Carol of Granby: one grandson, William Eads of Colorado and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Marvin Eads, and Myrl Eads.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, from 2 pm – 3:30 pm. Private family services will be held.
