(From Ozark Memorial Park Crematory)Ruby Jean Ambrosius, 81, of Joplin, MO passed away after a brief illness on July, 27, 2022. She was born on May 24, 1941 in Rock Island, Illinois to Donald and Irma (Roosa) Ambrosius.
Ruby attended various elementary schools in Illinois and Missouri. She graduated in 1959 as a Valedictorian in Butler, MO High School. She also graduated in the top 10% of her class from Culver Stockton College in Canton, MO in 1959 with her degree in Elementary Education.
Ruby taught in elementary schools in both Illinois and Missouri for six years. She then decided to switch careers and worked in business offices in the Joplin area until retirement.
Ruby married twice and had no children.
She is survived by two brothers, Gerald (Gloria) and Norman; 2 nieces, Gina (Lee) Breedlove and Gwen (Troy) Malone, and one nephew, Gary (Angel) Ambrosius; several great nieces and one great nephew, Zelina (Taylor) Haas, Zane (Kassandra) Ambrosius, Kylie Kolkman, Alaina Kolkman and one great-great nephew, Zerrick Haas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, paternal and maternal grandparents Thomas and Mary Ambrosius and Don and Beulah Roosa.
