(From Clark Funeral Home)James Marion Shaver was born June 17, 1955 in Neosho, one of three children to Marion L. and Maxine (Crosby) Shaver. He entered into rest on January 4, 2023 in Joplin, Missouri at the age of 67.
James was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Neosho High School in 1973. He worked as a supervisor for many years at MO-ARK Feed Mill and in the trucking industry. He enjoyed hunting, cracking walnuts and pecans, cutting wood, riding his motorcycle and being with his family, loved ones and friends. He loved teasing people and had an outgoing personality.
In 2017, he was baptized and is a member of the Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ. On June 3, 1978 at the Stark City Church of Christ, James and Debra Morgan were united in marriage and Debra survives.
In addition to his wife of 44 years, James is survived by two sons, Travis Shaver and wife, Mechell of Granby and Jeff Shaver and wife, Lindsey of Stark City; one sister, Judy Gillmore and husband, Robert of Neosho, sister-in-law, Carole Shaver of California; six grandchildren, Haylee, Trever, Austin, Lucas, Aiden and Alina Shaver and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Junior and Bettie Morgan of Stella, Missouri.
He is preceded in death by his parents, stillborn twin sons, brother, Gerald Shaver, nephew, Wayne Shaver and niece, Carmella Kassner.
