(From Benton County Funeral Home)Daniel Clarence Payne, of Jane, Missouri, passed away on January 13th, 2023. He was 71 years old at the time of his passing.
Danny was born on January 4th, 1952, to loving parents, James and Jewell Payne in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He grew up on a farm and was no stranger to hard work. He enjoyed working with his hands—raising cattle, building houses, planting and harvesting wheat, and woodworking.
Daniel graduated from Rogers High School in 1970 and later that year, he married his beloved wife Karen on November 14th. They raised a family and enjoyed 52 wonderful years together, always planning their next adventure.
When he wasn’t working to provide for his family, he enjoyed traveling, playing guitar, singing, fishing, and riding horses. In fact, you almost never saw him without his cowboy hat and boots on! He was known for his kindness and honesty, as well as his words of wisdom when others asked him for advice.
During his childhood, his mother worked hard to teach him the truths she believed from God’s Word the Bible. What Danny learned touched his heart and motivated him to dedicate himself to Jehovah God and he was baptized on December 23rd, 1967.
