(From Parker Mortuary)Thelma Kathleen Frost, age 90, of Carterville, MO, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 in Joplin.
Thelma was born October 9, 1932 in Joplin, MO, daughter of the late Ira Richardson and Lucy (Hopkins) Richardson. She grew up in Joplin, and graduated from Joplin High School before working for Bagcraft where she retired as a supervisor.
She loved spending time with her family, whether she was fishing, crocheting, going to the Casinos, or cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals. She even got to go to watch spring training games in Phoenix. She was fun to be around, and will be missed by many.
In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by a son, Michael Speer, sisters, Peg and Judy, and brothers, Jim and Gene.

She is survived by her children, Rick Speer and wife Irene of Afton, OK, Michelle Thompson and husband Dan of Phoenix, and Leda Myers and husband Lee of Carterville; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary with private services to be held at a later date.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to a local food bank.
