Marilyn Spidle

Marilyn Spidle, passed peacefully, Saturday, January 28. Born to Raymond and Helen Brock, August 25, 1941, Anthony KS, moving to Joplin MO in 1951, and graduating from Joplin High School, Class of 1959.

Marilyn’s greatest joy was her family. Marilyn is survived by her sons, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a brother; Jack and Kelley Young, Josh and Vanessa Young, Jordan and Amber Young, Rahlee Young, Chuck and Liza Kieslich, Christopher Kieslich and Fani Boukouvala, Emmanuel Kieslich, Alex and Kelly Kieslich, Gary Dean Sharp, and brother Ralph and Sue Brock. Marilyn attended Harmony Heights Baptist Church, serving others, faithfully each day of her life.








Marilyn is a beautiful person that gave love and overcame adversity, devoting her life to others. Her selfless nature, humility, and heart, shared with her family and friends, are her Legacies and Light that will continue to shine forth.

Marilyn worked for Oxford Home Health Care, retiring after 25 years. Marilyn dedicated her life to caring for the weak, the infirmed, the needy, and the lost. Her smile was infectious, warming hearts and bringing light. Marilyn loved her animals, and her pets. Our Father in heaven embraces his saint, and her imprint on our lives will last forever.






 

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2023 at Parker Mortuary with Jarel Burnside officiating. Burial will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Christopher Kieslich, Joshua Young, Alex Kieslich, Jordan Young, Darrell Brock and David Brock. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-7:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parker Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Joplin Humane Society or to Harmony Heights Baptist Church.
