Kenny Cooper

(From Ozark Funeral Home)

On Friday, January 20, 2023, the Lord took Kenny Dale Cooper home to be with him, at the age of 85. He was born October 8, 1937 and was a longtime resident of Anderson, Missouri.

Kenny has always been a hard worker. At the age of fourteen years old, he had a milk route. He hauled milk to Milnot at Seneca. He loved working with cattle, milking cows, putting up hay, and working as a mechanic.

Georgia Lee Sloan became his bride on October 17, 1958. This October, they would have celebrated 65 years of married life.

Kenny was a thoughtful and wonderful husband, who will be greatly missed. “How I miss you, Kenny.” He would always say, “Be carful Georgia, Stay with Paul and Phyllis or Ned and Frances, Don’t go outside after dark, Be sure the doors are locked.” And “I know you and the Lord have your hands on me”.

Kenny has two living sisters, Shirley Chastine and Raylene Reece; a brother, Donald Ray Cooper; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

His parents, Ray and Ethel (Roy) Cooper; two sisters, Geraldine Booth and Frances Sutton; four brothers, David, Lewis, Jack and Bill Cooper have preceded him in death.

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2023 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Richard Hart and JR Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Cemetery.

Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Shane Reece, Steve Reece, Jerry Don Cooper, David Joe Cooper, Keith Royce, Chad Sloan and Stan Sloan. The family will receive friends on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
