(From Clark Funeral Home)Jack Gibson, Neosho, went to be with the Lord peacefully on January 18, 2023, at his home, following a lengthy illness at the age of 70.
Jack was born on August 20, 1952, in Oklahoma, one of two children to Jack Henry and Betty Ruth (Cooper) Gibson. He worked as a defense contractor logistics engineer and lived in many places during his career. He loved to build model ships, trains, and airplanes and was an avid reader.
He was a member of the Hope Baptist Church in Joplin and had served as a Sunday school teacher and trustee.
On August 28, 1976, in Euless, Texas, Jack and Karen Fedie were married and shared forty-six years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Stephanee Cheverie and husband, Christian, and Jeremy Gibson and wife, Anne; grandchildren, Ben, Sam, Cora, Maggie, Jackie, and Ellie. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Vickie Lynn Gibson.
Memorial services will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Hope Baptist Church, 3220 E. 13th Street, Joplin, Missouri 64804. Contributions in memory of Jack may be made to the Hope Baptist Church.
