Robert was born in Stella, Missouri on November 22nd, 1941. The oldest of three sons to Harry Allen and Lucille Thomlinson.
He is survived by his wife Sue; his daughter Sherri Ellis and her husband Steve; granddaughters Vanessa and Sasha her husband Rob Grailer; grandson Josh Jennings his wife Jordan; great grandchildren Kellen, Parker, Auggie, Ava, and Drake; his son Scott and wife Amy; grandsons Prescott, Guy and Malcolm. His youngest brother Carl and his wife Lesa.
He was preceded by his parents and brother Gary Dean as well as his first wife Carolyne Raye Gumm.
Robert and Sue are members of the United Methodist Church of Wanda.
Robert wore many hats in life, both figurative and literally. He was a dairyman, a factory worker, a master plumber, an electrician, mechanic, truck driver, and salesman. He started on his father's farm milking cows. He worked at Montgomery Ward and Western Electric in the Kansas City area.
Robert and Sue are members of the United Methodist Church of Wanda.

He returned to work with his father's pump company. He also dug graves. He worked as a factory rep for Berkeley Pumps and Ag-Rain Irrigation. He ran a tire repair shop, Thomlinson Equipment and the Stark City Grocery Store.
He then took over the Thomlinson Pump company while working at La-Z-Boy. He was loved by many in his congregation and community.
